The Origin of La Vestalia

I grew up in a Mexican family where food was always at the center of everything. Gatherings meant endless dishes on the table, laughter circling the room, and cousins running in every direction. But while most of my family focused on the food or the games, I was always thinking about something else: what I was going to wear.

Fashion was my obsession long before I even had the language for it. It wasn’t just about style; it was about identity. Clothes became both a form of expression and, at times, a shield. On difficult days, they gave me the confidence to face the world. On good days, they helped me celebrate who I was becoming. Even now, I can trace the rhythm of my life through what I wore at key moments. Each piece of clothing a part of my history.

Clothing as Culture, Confidence, and Connection

La Vestalia was born out of a desire to change that. I wanted to build a company that takes a holistic approach, one where the client isn’t just central, but the entire reason we exist. Our mission is to truly know the people we serve, to meet them where they are in life, and to help them move closer to where they want to be. For me, clothing has always been an ally and a confidence booster, a source of strength, and I want our clients to experience that same empowerment.

When I moved from Mexico to the United States, my relationship with clothes deepened. Adapting to a new culture was complex, and fashion became a way to navigate it. Through clothing, I stayed connected to my roots, often weaving in traditional Mexican embroidery or details as a quiet reminder of home. At the same time, I allowed myself to experiment, to grow, and to carve out my identity in a new place.

Clothes became my bridge between cultures, between past and future, between who I was and who I wanted to be.

Over the years, I’ve worked across nearly every corner of the fashion industry, from retail and corporate sales to designer showrooms and production studios. Those experiences gave me a 360-degree view of the business, but they also exposed a side of fashion that left me unsettled. Too often, it felt transactional. Success was measured by sales numbers and commissions, while the client, the heart of fashion, was treated like an afterthought.

The Birth of La Vestalia

La Vestalia was born out of a desire to change that. I wanted to create a company that approaches fashion differently... one that places the client at the epicenter. Our mission is to truly understand the people we serve, to meet them where they are in life, and to help them move toward where they want to be.
